Yes. company_search (POST /api/hub/v1/companies/search) finds companies by industry or keywords, country, city and employee range, optionally only those with a phone number. It returns up to 25 companies per call with the same fields as a lookup, excludes companies whose website is offline, and charges per company returned. Page through a large result by sending the domains you already have in exclude_domains.
From our own company store, compiled from public company registries, open company datasets, public business listings and company websites, and refreshed by our own crawler. We do not resell another vendor’s API response.
The lookup returns found=false and you are not charged for it. We never invent a record to fill the gap, and a hosted page on a platform such as a site builder is never treated as the company that owns the platform.
Yes. Every tool here is also an MCP tool on the Data API MCP server, so Claude, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client can look up and search companies with the same key and the same prices.
No. These tools are company-level only. The email format tool returns the pattern a company uses, such as first.last, never a person’s address. Person-level data is a separate toolset with its own terms.
