Pricing questions

How is pricing calculated?

By the number of unique visitors your site gets per month — the metric that actually reflects your scale. Free covers 300, Starter 1,000, Growth 3,000, Scale 10,000 and Business 50,000. Each plan also includes a generous allowance of analytics events and AI assistant runs. You move up a tier as your traffic grows.

What counts as a "unique visitor"?

A distinct person visiting your site in the calendar month, deduplicated across all their sessions (cookieless, bot traffic excluded). It’s the same number you see on your Users tab.

What are AI runs, and what happens if I run out?

An AI run is one full task for the AI business analyst — a chat answer in the dashboard, or an analyst run you start from the CLI (/api/v1/runs) or with the run_analyst tool over MCP. Reading your data from your own Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP endpoint is not a run and is never metered. Free includes 30 runs a month, at most 5 in one day; paid plans include a monthly pool (250 / mo on Starter up to 5,000 / mo on Business) with no daily ceiling. Bringing your own model key makes those runs effectively free on our side, so heavy users lean on BYOK.

How does overage work?

Off by default. When you turn it on in Settings → Billing, going past your included unique visitors, events or AI runs is billed at a small metered rate — $15 / 1,000 extra visitors, $3 / 1,000 extra events, $0.05 / extra AI run — shown live in your usage dashboard. With overage off, you simply hit a soft cap and upgrade when ready. Free always stops at its limit.

How do seats and extra seats work?

Each paid plan includes seats (1 / 3 / 5 / 10). Need more? Add them at $19 / mo per extra seat — no need to jump a whole tier just for headcount.

Can I switch plans or cancel anytime?

Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from the billing portal at any time. Changes are prorated by Stripe, and there are no long-term contracts on the self-serve tiers.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Nothing is deleted. Your workspace drops to the Free plan and your analytics history, CRM, contacts, attribution and connections all stay exactly where they are — only the monthly allowances change. Session recordings are the one exception: their history window follows your plan, so older recordings stop being visible on a lower tier. Resubscribe and everything picks up where it left off.

Can I get my data out?

Always, on every plan including Free. Export analytics, sessions and contacts as CSV from the dashboard, pull the same data programmatically from /api/v1/export with an API key, or download a full per-contact JSON bundle. Your own MCP endpoint also gives any AI agent you run direct read access. We would rather you stay because it is worth it than because leaving is hard.
