Transform an output-focused roadmap into an outcome-focused one that communicates strategic intent. Rewrites initiatives as outcome statements reflecting user and business impacts.
Outcome Roadmap, published by phuryn in the pm-skills repository under MIT, rewrites an output-focused roadmap (a list of features) into an outcome-focused one that states the customer and business impact behind each item. For every initiative the agent identifies the planned output, uncovers why it is being built by asking what customer problem it solves and which business metric should move, and rewrites it in the form: Enable [customer segment] to [desired customer outcome] so that [business impact]. It also asks whether a different approach could reach the same outcome.
The result lists the original initiatives by quarter or phase, the outcome statement for each, the key metrics that would indicate success and any dependencies, plus strategic context: alignment with company strategy, key assumptions about customer needs and flexible release windows rather than fixed dates. It saves substantial output as Outcome-Roadmap-[year].md. The skill's advice is to keep outcomes testable and measurable and to keep asking so what until you reach real value. It reframes a roadmap you supply; it does not prioritise it.
In BusinessMCP the AI business analyst can use it as a playbook and attach real baseline metrics from your analytics and revenue to each outcome.
