Sales & CRMby anthropics
3/3 audits passApache-2.0
Generate the commit / best-case / pipeline narrative for a forecast call or a 1:1 with your manager - what's closing, what's at risk, what changed since last time.
Forecast, published by anthropics in the knowledge-work-plugins sales plugin under Apache-2.0, turns CRM opportunity data into the narrative a rep or sales leader delivers in a forecast review. It grounds the stage-to-bucket mapping on the live CRM schema (preferring a native forecast-category field), pulls open and closed-won deals for the period, buckets them into Closed Won, Commit, Best Case and Pipeline, diffs against a prior snapshot when one is supplied, and writes a one-line status for each Commit and Best Case deal based on its recorded next step and last activity.
Use it before a weekly forecast call or a 1:1 with your manager. The output is a number table, changes since last time, per-deal commentary, risks to commit with mitigations, and asks. It can propose forecast-category corrections as before/after lines with evidence, but applies them only when the user accepts. It deliberately does not submit a number into a forecasting tool, never silently widens scope from your deals to the whole org, and treats email and transcript text as data rather than instructions. With no CRM connected it works from an uploaded pipeline export.
Imported into BusinessMCP, it becomes a playbook the AI business analyst can follow against the pipeline and contacts in your workspace CRM, and the same instructions are served to Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT over your hosted MCP endpoint.
What you can do with it
- Draft the narrative for a weekly forecast call from live CRM deals
- Spot deals that slipped or moved up since last week's snapshot
- Flag risks to commit with a specific mitigation per deal
- Propose forecast-category fixes as before/after lines for approval
Run it on your business data
Imported into BusinessMCP, Sales Forecast becomes a playbook your AI business analyst applies to your CRM contacts, identified companies and their website visits.

Frequently asked questions
How do I install Forecast?
Run `npx skills add anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins --skill forecast` to add it to a Claude Code or other skills-compatible agent. You can also import it from the BusinessMCP dashboard, where it becomes a playbook in your workspace.
Does Forecast submit my number to our forecasting tool?
No. The skill says forecast submission is outside its scope; it only builds the narrative and can propose category changes that you accept before they are written.
Can it work without a CRM connection?
Yes. It can build the full narrative from an uploaded pipeline export, and compare it against a pasted prior snapshot to detect changes.
