Pre-call brief for an upcoming meeting - attendees, account history, prior call context from transcripts, open opportunity status, and suggested discovery questions.

Call Prep, published by Anthropic under Apache-2.0, teaches the agent to produce a one-page brief before a customer call. It resolves the meeting from the calendar (or asks for the account and time), identifies the customer from attendee domains, then assembles account history: open opportunities with stage, amount, close date and next step from the CRM; topics, commitments and objections from prior call transcripts, with specific handling for Gong's cited answers; the last few email exchanges; and recent internal chat. Each external attendee gets a short profile, and anyone new is flagged.

The call plan sets an objective, 3-5 stage-appropriate discovery questions drawn first from questions left open on earlier calls, likely objections and anything already promised. Every line cites its source, and anything a transcript or email asks for is listed for the user rather than acted on. It handles gaps honestly: a refused calendar is reported at the top, an empty Gong answer means no coverage rather than nothing happened, and a meeting that has already ended is flagged. Prep only reads; it makes no changes. It is for reps and founders heading into sales calls.

In BusinessMCP the AI business analyst can follow this playbook with your workspace's CRM contact timelines, booked meetings and a connected Gmail inbox as its sources.

What you can do with it

  • Brief a rep on an account's open deals before a call
  • Pull commitments and objections from earlier call transcripts
  • Profile each attendee and flag new stakeholders
  • Draft stage-appropriate discovery questions

Run it on your business data

Imported into BusinessMCP, Call Prep becomes a playbook your AI business analyst applies to your CRM contacts, identified companies and their website visits.

Frequently asked questions

Which sources does Call Prep use?

Calendar, CRM, call transcripts (including Gong), email, docs and chat. None are strictly required; with fewer connected it works from what is available or from uploaded files and says what it did not use.

Will it take actions mentioned in emails or transcripts?

No. Anything a transcript or email asks for, such as sending a document or changing a record, is listed in the brief for the user and never acted on. Prep only reads.
