The full picture

Lucky Orange has a simple pitch: every feature on every plan — heatmaps, session recordings, funnels, form analytics, surveys, live chat, announcements and its Discovery AI — priced only by monthly sessions. Plans run $32, $72, $199 and $839 per month on annual billing (roughly 20% more month-to-month), with a 7-day trial instead of a free tier and 60 days of data retention unless you pay for more.

That flat feature set is also its ceiling. Lucky Orange is a conversion-optimization toolkit; it does not know which company a session belonged to, it is not your web analytics, and it is not your CRM. BusinessMCP records the same sessions and click maps, then links them to the identified company or the email-identified person, inside the product that already holds your traffic, goals, revenue and pipeline. Recordings start on the $79 Growth plan with 7-day history; on Scale the friction you find becomes a proposed A/B test with a GitHub pull request.

Why teams switch

The session has a company on it

Lucky Orange shows you an anonymous visitor rage-clicking your checkout. BusinessMCP shows you the same replay attached to the company from our own IP graph, or the person once they identify, with their whole journey — pages, goals, emails, meetings — on one timeline.

Replay is part of the analytics, not a second tool

Lucky Orange sits beside your analytics and your CRM. BusinessMCP is first-party, cookieless analytics with replay and heatmaps built into the Overview, so a spike in exits on a page and the recordings of those exits are one click apart.

From friction to a shipped experiment

Both tools flag rage clicks and dead clicks. On the $199 Scale plan BusinessMCP ranks the friction, proposes a test, and the AI opens a GitHub pull request implementing variant B — split-tested per visitor with no flicker, and a winner never called before minimum sample and 14 days.

Where BusinessMCP is NOT the right choice

An alternatives page you can trust has to cut both ways. Honestly:

  • Lucky Orange ships live chat, surveys, announcements and form analytics on every plan; BusinessMCP has none of those four. If your CRO loop depends on asking visitors why, keep a survey tool.
  • Lucky Orange keeps 60 days on its cheapest plan; BusinessMCP keeps 7 days on Growth and 30 on Scale, and only the $499 Business plan keeps recordings indefinitely.
  • Replays capture the DOM, not the console: there is no console-log or network-request capture, and no native mobile-app SDK (Smartlook and Mouseflow both record iOS/Android apps).
  • We are a younger tool with fewer integrations, and our sampling controls are simpler than FullStory-class segmentation. You get analytics, CRM and one AI over all of it in the same product — but not a decade of replay-specific polish.

Frequently asked questions

What does Lucky Orange cost, really?

Build is $32/mo, Grow $72, Expand $199 and Scale $839 on annual billing, with Enterprise custom. Month-to-month runs about 20% higher ($39 for Build, $249 for Expand, $1,049 for Scale). Every plan includes every feature; what you pay for is monthly sessions and, as an upgrade, retention beyond 60 days.

Does BusinessMCP have Lucky Orange’s Discovery AI?

We have an "Analyze with AI" read-out on any recording or heatmap that returns a short UX/CRO summary, and the AI business analyst can pull recordings and heatmaps through its tools while answering a broader question. We do not have a chat widget for visitors, which is a separate Lucky Orange feature.

Which tool identifies the visitor?

BusinessMCP does. Company-level identification runs on our own IP graph and is available from the $19 Starter plan; recordings link to that company, and to the person once they submit a form or sign in. Lucky Orange does not identify companies.

Can BusinessMCP replace Lucky Orange’s funnels?

For conversion funnels over your goals, yes — funnels live in the analytics and the AI can run a cohort funnel analysis. Lucky Orange’s form analytics (field-level drop-off) has no equivalent in BusinessMCP.

How to migrate

  1. 1

Add the BusinessMCP snippet beside Lucky Orange; both are one script and record independently.

  2. 2

Enable heatmaps and recordings in Overview → Heatmaps (Growth) with a sampling rate that fits your plan’s visitor allowance.

  3. 3

Recreate your Lucky Orange funnels as BusinessMCP goals and funnels — their recordings and heatmaps cannot be exported into another player.

  4. 4

Keep Lucky Orange for chat and surveys if you use them; move replay, heatmaps and identification once the identified-only filter shows the companies you care about.
