Skill Creator

Skill Creator, from Anthropic's skills repository, helps an agent create new skills and improve existing ones through an evaluation loop. It starts by capturing intent and interviewing the user, then drafts a SKILL.md using a writing guide on skill anatomy, progressive disclosure and the principle of lack of surprise. It writes test prompts, runs them with the skill and against a baseline, drafts assertions while runs are in progress, records timing, grades and aggregates the results, and shows them in a review viewer so the user can give feedback. The skill is then rewritten and the loop repeats, with an optional blind comparison. A separate description optimization step generates trigger queries and tunes the description so the skill triggers when it should.

Use it when you want to turn a workflow into a skill, fix a skill that is not triggering or performing well, or benchmark a skill's performance. It adapts its language to the user and allows a lighter pass if the user does not want formal evaluations.

Its benchmarking and packaging scripts run in a coding environment such as Claude Code. It is published under Apache-2.0 and importable into BusinessMCP, where it serves as instructions for writing better playbooks.
