Dashboarding, published by Grafana under Apache-2.0, teaches the agent to author Grafana dashboards as JSON and ship them through the HTTP API. It covers panel types (timeseries, stat, gauge, table, heatmap, logs, traces and node graph), the 24-column gridPos layout, units and thresholds, template, datasource and chained variables, transformations such as organize, calculateField and filterByValue, panel and dashboard links that carry label and time values, and Loki or Prometheus annotations.
Three workflows are spelled out step by step: push a new dashboard with POST /api/dashboards/db after validating the JSON with jq, then confirm the returned version and read the dashboard back by UID; add a $job dropdown variable to an existing dashboard; and compute an Error % column with a transformation. Prerequisites are a reachable Grafana stack (OSS, Enterprise or Cloud), an API token with dashboards:write and jq, and a JSON-schema reference file covers the full dashboard model. It is for SREs and platform engineers scripting observability dashboards, not for business or marketing reporting.
