Connect any MCP server in one command

The mcphosting CLI auto-detects your AI client, wires up your hosted MCP endpoint, lets you search, add and manage servers, and drives full Assistant runs — all without leaving the terminal.

Install

npm install -g mcphosting-cli

Or run any command on demand with npx mcphosting-cli. Once installed, run mcphosting connect to authenticate with your Bearer mcph_* key.

Commands

mcphosting add <slug>

Add a server from the registry to your workspace and configure it for the AI client it detects (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor). One command, wired up and ready.

Example

Restart Claude Desktop to use stripe_* tools.

mcphosting search <query>

Search the MCP registry for servers and connectors. Backed by the public /api/registry/v0/servers feed, so results match the marketplace.

mcphosting connect

Authenticate the CLI with a Bearer mcph_* key and target a workspace. Stores the key in your OS keychain and points subsequent commands at your hosted endpoint.

mcphosting list

List the servers and tools connected to your workspace and available through your MCP endpoint — including built-in platform tools and namespaced connector tools.

mcphosting run "<prompt>"

Drive a full Head-of-BI Assistant run from your terminal. Wraps POST/GET /api/v1/runs — it queues the run, polls, and prints the reply. Add --deep for a bigger, verified analysis pass. Same agent, tools and access policy as the dashboard.
